Salvatore Alessi - of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Monday August 11th, 2025, he was 93 years old and young beyond his age.   Sal was born in San Giovanni Gemini, Sicily Italy on May 15th, 1932 and consequently immigrated to America in 1957.   He settled in Bayonne NJ and quickly became the most famous Barber in town, a mantle he would covet for over 60 years.  A devoted family man, Sal was pre-deceased by his parents: Francesco & Emanuela (nee: Nocera) Alessi, his brothers: Vincenzo, Nicolo & Frank, his sisters: Nancy Alessi, Carmela Amato, Maria Papale, Rosalia Terrana & Rita Alessi, and his nephew Franco Amato.  He is survived by a multitude of loving family members, friends and clients; starting with his nephews: Paolo Alessi & Joseph Terrana, his nieces Daniela Vergona, Sandra Russo, Maria Terrana, Lina Amato, Emanuela Alessi & Frances Katusa,; great nephews; Joseph Amato, Franco Amato, Eric Amato, Vincent Russo, Carmine Russo, Anthony Vergona, Nicholas Terrana, Thomas Terrana, Joseph, Terrana, Sergio Sgarlata & Vincent Alessi; great nieces: Adriana Vergona, Lia Russo, Milena Sgarlata & Elizabeth Katusa and a WHOLE host of other loving family members dear friends and enamored clients.  There will a visitation held for Sal on Thursday August 14th from 9AM - 11:45AM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne followed by a funeral mass at 12PM to be celebrated at St. Vincent's Parish, 979 Avenue C in Bayonne with Mausoleum Entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union NJ.  In lieu of any flowers the family requests that donations be made tin Salvatore Alessi's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  This can be done directly via this website by clicking the "Memorial Donation" tab below this obituary.
