Salvatore DeChiaro Jr.- a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Monday September 19th 2016, he was 89 years old. Salvatore was a member of The American Legion and served his country proudly in WWII as a Navy Seabee (Construction Battalion). He was the beloved father to Francine Tagliareni and the cherished grandfather to Jennifer and Lindsay Tagliareni. Salvatore was pre-deceased by his devoted wife Alfonsina (nee: Prisco), his son Salvatore DeChiaro III and his son-in-law Joe Tagliareni as well as his siblings Andrew, John, Corneil, Anthony, Theresa, Madeline and Margaret. Surviving Salvatore is a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and dear friends. Visitation will be Thursday September 22nd from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday September 23rd beginning at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, 326 Avenue C in Bayonne, with everyone welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow immediately afterwards at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City.
