Sofia Makris (nee: Drakos) - of Jersey City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday May 26th 2015, she was 84 years old. Born in Evritania Greece, Sofia was the devoted wife of the late Serafim Makris and the loving mother to Mary Makris and her husband Konstantino Katsaris, Konstantino Makris and his wife Kathy, Georgios Makris and his late wife Patricia and to Nikolas Makris and his wife Mary. Sofia was also the beloved grandmother to Serafim and Theofanis Katsaris, Sophia David and her husband James and to Sophia, Chrisoula, Michael, Steve and Sophia Makris as well as being the cherished great-grandmother to Alexa David. A visitation will be held for Sofia today, Friday May 29th from 6-9 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne.
