Stella Rose Castillo (nee: Provenzano) - of Edison NJ, passed away suddenly on Saturday April 30, 2016. She was 78 years old.  Born in Bayonne, Stella was a graduate of #12 School and Bayonne High School.  As a young adult, she was an officer of the Bayonne Junior Women's Club and was also a very involved parishioner at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church. Stella was the beloved wife of the late Albert Castillo and loving mother to Pilar Knoll and her husband Peter of Metuchen. Stella was predeceased by her parents, Luigi and Mary (nee: Baccarella) Provenzano, her mother- and father-in-law, Mary Pilar (nee: Hernandez) and Angel Castillo. She was also predeceased by her sister Anne Keating, brothers-in-law Henry Castillo and John Ruiu and sister-in-law Margaret Provenzano. She is survived by her sister Carmela Ruiu, brother Joseph Provenzano, brother-in-law Charles Keating and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  Visitation for Stella will be Thursday May 5th from 4-8pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. Funeral mass is celebrated on Friday 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 326 Ave. C in Bayonne, with interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City.
