Bartolomeo, Stephen A. - a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away at home on Sunday, December 16, 2012, he was 85 years old. An army veteran of WW II, Stephen worked for Bell Laboratories in Whippany, NJ until retiring in 1992. He was fond of woodworking and carpentry and enjoyed sharing his creations with family and friends. Stephen was the devoted husband of Frances (nee: Montesano) Bartolomeo for 62 years and was the loving father to Kathleen Hermann and her late husband Edward, Patricia Skrocki and her husband Stephen, Salvatore Bartolomeo, Anthony Bartolomeo and his wife Margaret Burns and Susan Lynch and her husband Joseph. He was also the cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Cremation was private but a memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, December 19th at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, 326 Avenue C in Bayonne. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Stephen's memory to St. Joseph's School for the Blind, 761 Summit Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07307.
