Born in Pinebush NY and formerly of Union City and Jersey City, Teresa was a strong, patient, vibrant, generous and fascinating woman. She was truly the best mother ever and a loving best friend to her eight children. Teresa was the kindest, wisest, most understanding and adventurous grandmother. She leaves behind many loving memories that will forever be cherished by her grandchildren. Teresa was the devoted wife of the late Donald Lynn Ker. and the beloved mother to Barbara Becker and her late husband Robert, Carol Maher and her late husband Paul, Susan Delaney and husband Joseph, Donna Nadrowski and husband Raymond, Teresa Vernaglia and her late husband Jimmy, Donald Ker and loving companion Adriana and Karen Ker and her loving companion and devoted friend of Teresa's James Doherty. Teresa was also the loving grandmother to Nancy Johnson and husband Russell, Kelly Simoes and husband Joe, Joseph Delaney and his life partner Doug Estep, John Delaney, Jennifer Vernaglia and partner Liane, Melissa Kuzma and husband Alex and Amanda Vernaglia, Donald Ker and wife Doris, Judy Brodersen and husband John, Janice Becker, Paul and Douglas Maher, as well as being the cherished great grandmother of fourteen. Also surviving Teresa are her brother Joe Searls and wife Margaret, sister Eileen Serpico, sister in law Mildred Searls, and former daughter-in-law Rose Ker as well as special family friend Penny DeSalvo. Teresa was also pre-deceased by her daughter Candace Ker, her siblings Mary, Thomas and wife Ruth, Richard and wife Jane, Harry, Margie Gasparik and her husband Joseph and brother in law John Serpico. A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 13th from 4-8 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be held at Mt Carmel Church, 39 E. 22nd St. in Bayonne beginning promptly at 10am with family and mourners meeting at the funeral home beginning at 9am. Interment will follow at Madonna Church Cemetery in Fort Lee, NJ. In lieu of any flowers the family requests that donations be made in Teresa's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
