Teresa Papaccio (nee: Iazzetta) – passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on Friday March 3rd 2017, she was 91 years young. Teresa was born in Naples, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Maria Maddalena lazzetta and brought to America before her first birthday. At a very early age, she joined Our Lady of Assumption Church where she remained a faithful member until the church closed in 2016. She was a 1942 graduate of Bayonne High School and her commercial training led her to become a clerk/typist for a local ship chandler (The J. Stanley Company). Teresa was very active in Assumption Girl Scout Troop 25 for over ten years, which led her to forge lifelong friendships with her "girls". She was married to her husband and best friend, Patrick Papaccio. Their marriage lasted 70 years until her husband died in 2016. Teresa is survived by her sons Blaine (Lynne), James (AnnMarie) and Patrick (Kate), her only granddaughter and her grandfather's pride, Jane Edwards (Brian), her grandson Joseph Papaccio, and her great-grandson Timothy Edwards. Also surviving Teresa are her sisters Madeline J. lazzetta and Maria DeVente, her dear sisters-in-law Mrs. Carlo lazzetta (Madeline) and Mrs. Martin DeNicola (Madeline) and her brother in law Philip Papaccio, as well as many nieces and nephews, especially Susan McCusker, who were always in her prayers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 8th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday March 9th beginning at 9:30 AM at St. Henry's Church, 82 W. 29th St. in Bayonne with all welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 8:30 AM.
