Theresa Jones (nee: Palmisano) - A lifelong resident of Bayonne, Terri passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8th 2014. She was 89 years old. Terri was a woman ahead of her time. As long time employee of Western Electric, she worked hard to support her family at a time when most women were fulfilling their roles as housewives. Whether she was flying out to Las Vegas, spending a few days in Lake George or just spending the day at the track or Atlantic City with her beloved companion Sonny and her sisters , Terri loved to travel. She spent years vacationing on Bertram's Island at the Castle' that her father had built. Terri was an avid reader who could read a novel in just a couple of hours. She was also a women of style. She could have taught Carrie Bradshaw a thing or two about shoes and how to dress! A loving mother to George and his wife Dianne, Theresa Mary Byrnes and husband John and Robert and his wife Linda. She was also the cherished grandmother to Sean Byrnes, Patricia Lang and husband Robert, Brian Byrnes and wife Linda & William Byrnes and wife Sharon, Kathleen Jones, Karen Mary Sprigle and husband Michael, David Jones and wife Lisa, Melanie Chambers and husband Charles and Michael Jones as well as being proud great grandmother to eighteen great grandchildren. Theresa was pre-deceased by her long time companion and the love of her life, Al Ristano; her parents Ralph and Theresa (nee:Appice) Palmisano, and her dear sisters Lena Battaglia-Bunoquista, Julia Palmisano, Mary Dziedzic, Juliette Zervoulis, Virginia DeCunzo and Gloria Carballo-Appice, and former husband George Jones. Surviving Theresa are her brother Ralph Palmisano and his wife Margaret, and former daughter in law Michelle Jones, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held on Monday May 12th from 2-4 pm and again from 6-8 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 13th at St. Vincent's Church, 979 Avenue C in Bayonne beginning promptly at 10 am with family and mourners meeting at the funeral home beginning at 9 am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
