BABNIS, Thomas, 67, lifelong of Bayonne, passed away on Monday February 29th, at the Bayonne Medical Center. Thomas was a beloved husband to Deborah (nee:Miller), a loving father to Melissa Newman and her husband Anthony, and Danielle Bilak and her husband Christopher. A cherished grandfather to Christopher Bilak Jr., Brianna Bilak, Ashleigh Newman, and Benjamin Bilak. A dear brother to John Babnis and his wife Diane. Also a loving brother in law to Meredith and Robert Smith, and a dear uncle to Christina Babnis. Thomas worked for IMTT in Bayonne as a Vac Truck Operator for over forty years. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Thomas was also involved in many other activities such as a member of the IMTT Emergency Response Team, PBA #7 Range officer and instructor, Security and Safety Compliance for Henry Rifle in Bayonne, and a lifelong NRA member. Thomas was a man with a heart of gold, that would give you the shirt off his back.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 3rd from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home 851 Kennedy Blvd (33rd), Bayonne. A prayer service will be offered on Friday March 4th at 10:00am at the funeral home with family and friends gathering at the funeral home beginning at 9:30am. Cremation to follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Thomas's memory to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Envelopes provided at the funeral home.
