DeMartini Thomas - of Bayonne passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday October 29, 2013, he was 71 years old. Born in Jersey City, Thomas was the devoted husband of 45 years to Elaine (nee: Matelski) and the loving father to Jennifer Makar and her husband Eric and to Amy Calabrese and her husband Patrick as well as being the cherished grandfather to Joshua and Matthew Makar. Thomas was pre-deceased by his brother Army Colonel Frank J. DeMartini and is survived by his sisters Kathleen and Margaret and his sister-in-law Phylliss DeMartini as well as a host of friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held on Thursday October 31st from 7-9 PM and again on Friday November 1st from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be conducted from the funeral home Saturday November 2nd with a funeral mass at St. Henry's Church at 10:45 AM, a private cremation will follow.
