Thomas Wayne Poesl Sr. – passed away on Thursday March 2nd 2017 at Newark University Hospital surrounded by his loving family, after a brief and valiant battle with cancer, he was 71. Born on June 7th 1945 in Brooklyn, NY, he moved with his family as an infant to Bayonne, where he resided for the remainder of his life. Thomas was employed by The Gordon Terminals in Bayonne NJ for 40 years, retiring 9 years ago. As a self-taught musician, Thomas would often entertain his family by playing the organ and in his spare time you could find him in various NYC Parks entertaining people of all ages. Thomas loved long walks in the park and meditating on The Lord. He was a devoted and loving father with a strong faith in the Lord and his grand children were his pride and joy. Thomas was pre-deceased by his parents E'lse and Ernst Poesl and surviving him are his loving children Thomas Jr., Jason, Kelly and Brenda Poesl; his adoring grandchildren Madison, Skyler & Mason Condon and Emily Poesl. Also surviving Thomas are his beloved sister Joyce Lubach, his beloved brothers David and Walter Poesl. Also Ernie and Kenny Poesl as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, dear friends and his devoted ex-wife Nancy, who never left his side. Thomas' gentle heart and unique sense of humor will be greatly missed and all services for Thomas will be private. We love you daddy.
