Mieles
June 4, 1934 – June 6, 2016
Vicente Augusto Mieles was born 1934 in Portoviejo Manabí, Ecuador. He was the tenth of twelve children born to Antonio Luis Mieles and Adelaida Mieles Garcia. Vicente was an ambitious young man and a hard worker. He attended school in Chone, Manabi and after graduating, started his own successful furniture business. In 1967, Vicente left Ecuador for the United States where he lived in the Bronx, New York. Good with his hands, he quickly learned the locksmith trade and continued to work in this field for more than forty years until he retired. In 1968 he met Amada de Los Angeles Caballero. The two of them fell in love and were married in February 1969. The loving couple recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in February 2016. Vicente, who had suffered from failing health over the past few years was cared for daily, by his loyal and faithful wife, Amada and died peacefully at home on June 6, 2016. He is survived by his wife Amada, his sisters, Celia Luisa, Alfonsina, Maria Mercedes, Maria Isabel and Mariana, his four loving children, Janet, Vicente Jr., Marlon and Angelica, eleven grandchildren, Andrea, Paola, Francisco, Emily, Katiuska, Paola, Daniella, Jessie Vicente, Marlon Jr., Gabriella and Isabella, two great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends whom he greatly loved.
In remembrance of her husband of forty-seven years, Amada Mieles offers these words:

A mi esposo, compañero y amigo…Hasta pronto… Amadita (Revelacion 21: 4, 5 "Y limpiará toda lágrima de sus ojos, y la muerte no será más, ni existirá ya mas lamento ni clamor ni dolor. Las cosas anteriores han pasado… ¡Mira!, voy a hacer nuevas todas las cosas".)

The former things have passed away…Look! I am making all things new.")
Memorial Services will take place on Sunday, June 19th from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home 851 Kennedy Blvd, (at 33rd), Bayonne.
