Victoria "Vicky" Terracciano (née Ciriello) - passed away peacefully on February 8, 2016 in her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones at the age of 88.
Vicky was born on December 26, 1927 to parents James and Felicia, and was a lifelong resident of Bayonne, NJ along with her older sister Madeline, older brother Nunzio, and younger brother Jim. Vicky attended Roosevelt grammar school, and went on to attend Bayonne High School where she graduated in 1945. Working as a secretary at the Bayonne Military Ocean Terminal Base. Vicky married the love of her life Vito Terracciano on May 14, 1949. She gave birth to her first daughter, Grace, on December 30, 1951 and second daughter Victoria on November 9, 1961. It was at this time that she ended her career at the Military Ocean Terminal, and became a stay-at-home mom.
Vicky was known as an exceptionally talented bowler and an expert at knitting sweaters, scarves, and blankets. The life of every party, she was often found on the dance floor cutting the rug with her sister. Spending summers down in Wildwood became an established family tradition and her 'lucky finger' came in handy during family trips to Atlantic City. When it comes to kitchen skills, her pasta and mashed potatoes have no equal. Organized and diligent, Vicky never forgot a single birthday, appointment, schedule, or phone number. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Vicky has always been an inspiration to those around her, admired for her strength of character, perseverance, witty comebacks, and instilling upon others that "when you're right, you're right, and you fight to the end!" She remains a symbol of unconditional love and family values, and the eternal bond that holds our family together.
Vicky was predeceased by her husband and siblings, and is survived by her daughters Grace and Victoria, sons-in-law Bruce and Mark, grandchildren Blaine, Melanie, Dominic, and Vicki, great-grandchildren Kelsey, Maci-Page, and GiaBella, and her grand-puppies Jackpot and Pumpkie.
