TREGLIA, Sr., Vito, "Cookie", 65 entered into eternal rest while holding the hands of his loving wife and soul mate Carol and his cherished daughter Carolyn, and surrounded by his loving family.  A lifelong resident of Bayonne, graduating from Assumption Grammar School and Bayonne High School.  Vito owned and operated a local tavern, "Benny's Lounge" on 19th street and the Boulevard for close to 10 years with his late brother John. He later went on to work for local contractors for several years and was currently employed with the City of Bayonne as a Senior Maintenance Repairer for the past 25 years. He was a devoted  son to Mary Treglia, a loving husband of 40 years to Carol (nee: Weir), a cherished father to Carolyn and Vito Jr. A dear brother in law to Dennis and his wife Charlotte. Also surviving Vito are his nephew Donald, his niece Danielle and his great nieces and nephews, and many, many dear friends. He was predeceased  by his grandfather Vito, his father Donald "Benny" and his brother John. Strong and Silent. Loyal, Caring, and Loving. A true gentleman in every sense of the word.

A visitation will be held on Thursday February 28th from 7:00 to 9:00pm and again on Friday March 1st from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. A mass will be offered on Saturday March 2nd at 10:00am at St. John Paul II Church, Bayonne. Cremation to follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden. Family and friends attending the funeral are welcomed to the funeral home on Saturday March 2nd beginning at 9:00am.
